We believe most people have used a Hp or Texas Instruments calculator during their student years. The Hp 35S and Hp 11C are some of the best scientific calculators from the company. The Hp 35S is relatively new to the 11C, which has been around since the 80s. Both models are non-graphing programmable scientific calculators. The most noticeable difference is the layout because 11C follows the classic design with a landscape shape, while the Hp 35S is more modern with a vertical layout.

For example, in algebraic mode, you can type 2 + 3 x 4 and press = to get the result. In RPN mode, you can type 2, press enter key, 3, and then +.

The calculator will give you the result for the first calculation, and you can enter 4 and the multiplication key to get the result. Since most people are more familiar with algebraic mode, getting used to RPN may require some time, but it is not impossible.

Hp 35S and Hp 11C Layout

Another difference is layout because the Hp 35S is the more modern option, which translates into additional features such as converters and other functions that take spaces on the layout. If you look closer, this calculator has blue and orange buttons. These buttons have a similar function to the shift key on your computer, but the blue is to access the upper function, and the orange key is to access the bottom functions; many buttons in this 35S have three inputs.
